Hootie was finished at 3 years old, handled by his breeder-owner Elaine Ferguson, former co-owner Christal Presley and Judy Umeck. He was specialed and shown in juniors a few times, but the show ring really wasn't his thing. Hootie is much happier at home, running the hills and woods at Camp Serqet and spending his days covering himself in red Virginia clay.
